Taralead : Extreme Distortion plugin by smaolab is a Virtual Effect Audio Plugin for macOS and Windows. It functions as a VST Plugin, an Audio Units Plugin and a VST 3 Plugin.

We are pleased to announce you the latest plugin of the Tarabia Nation. It’s called TaraLead, VST2/3 & Audio unit, Windows & Mac (Linux version will come soon).

We are sure that metalhead people will like this version :-).

You can use it a bass sequences, soft leads, guitars… and why not on drums (but you may get a strong noize):

• We implemented a special HARD distortion algorithm coupled with two clipping mode (in series); an asymmetric wave clipping and a special polynomial clipping algorithm.
• We added a special 4 poles Linkwitz Riley filter that user can change in case the distortion is too strong. We also added a feedback (called DRIVE parameter for simplicity) knob that will add some nice tones to the overall sounds.
• You will find more or less the same functions as in the Tarabia and TaraTube plugin: Gain in/out, Dry/Wet, oversamplingX2…

The plugin is free and fully supported.
