Wir dokumentieren eine Veranstaltung der Frankfurter Hölderlinwoche im September 2020, – die ein Monument des VeranstalterInnenmuts vor der dritten C19-Welle war, Hoffnungszeichen für einen wiedereinsetzenden Herzschlag der öffentlichen Kultur. Professor Luigi Reitani, Universität Udine, fragt nach frühromantischen Beziehungen des Solitärs Hölderlin. Wer das für ein akademisches Thema von gestern hält, dem hält Tim Leberecht in der Süddeutschen Zeitung vom 14. September 2015 Folgendes entgegen: „Die total technisierte Gesellschaft braucht Romantik. Mit Algorithmen und Apps wollen wir unser Leben verbessern. Doch dieser Optimierungswahn entzaubert unsere Welt.“ Es sei denn, wir erleben folgendes Kunststück: Ein Gelehrter, der unsere Sprache wie blank geputztes Tafelsilber benutzt, rückverzaubert uns mithilfe des Verstandes.
