Blueprint Drum Kit was recorded in the spacious studio hall of The Nave, and includes three microphone mixes offering exceptional control over the sound. Versatile enough to fit various genres, this library features a set of standard drum kit elements and a small collection of auxiliary percussion instruments.
Recorded in the spacious hall of The Nave Studios, our Blueprint: Drum Kit features larger drums, complemented by an array of cymbals and auxiliary percussion. Played with heavy drumsticks, this library is crafted for action scoring and rock drumming, yet versatile enough for various applications.
The combination of spot, overhead, and far microphones provides more precise control over the sound in addition to the advanced Punch and Hype controls found in our Epic Ensembles libraries- offering even greater flexibility in shaping your mix.
The Interface
Punch
– Boosts the transient of each hit to add more attack/ punch
Hype
– Applies compression, EQ and saturation to add weight and energy to the sound.
Dampening
– Fades out the tail of the hit to reduce the ambience.
Stereo Width
– Controls the stereo widening effect, turn clockwise to widen the signal, turn fully anticlockwise for a mono signal.
Mic Mix
– Control the amount of spot, overhead and room mics. Mute [M], Solo [S], and Purge [⏻] the raw layer and individual Atmosphere Layers from memory. Blend between a close and far mix.
Sample Start
– Increase the sample start time to reduce latency. Decrease the sample start time for more realism. The latency above is the correct number for the use of negative delay (pre-delay) in your DAW MIDI settings.
Velocity Response
– Control how much the volume of the instrument is controlled by the velocity input of your MIDI device.
