Sketchpad is a free MIDI recorder that runs inside of Kontakt. Load it up alongside your favorite Kontakt instruments and record everything you play, then drag a MIDI file of your recording to the timeline of your DAW or into your favorite notation program.
In Kontakt standalone, you can compose using inspiring sounds from any Kontakt library, but avoid the distractions and procrastination that can happen when you’re working in a full production environment.
