Simeon Coxe (Silver Apples) dies aged 82

Featuring a home-made synthesiser built from nine 1940s'  military (!) audio oscillators and 96 manual controllers, Silver Apples's self-titled first album sounded like nothing that had gone before - and sounds like nothing that has appeared since!
Their vocalist and electronics wizard, Simeon Coxe, died on 9th September of pulmonary fibrosis at the age of 82.
A true pioneer.
