Music-Society presents DOREMI by Beatassist.eu
After a long time again an extra synthesizer for our forum.
Thanks to Duarte Vinagre from beatassist.eu for the synth. The synth has no presets at the moment. So get busy and make preset banks
Runs on Win 32, Win64, VST2/3 and OSX-Mac
Features:
- 2 oscillators, the 2nd oscillator can be used in 3 modes
Both oscillators have their own ADSR, volume and sub-oscillator
- a noise oscillator with its own filter with resonance and ADSR
- 2 filters with 4 modes and ADSR
- Saturation on/off
- Trancegate Synchronizable in tempo and length and direction with swing function
- 2 LFOs Synchronizable with different operations and waveforms
- 4 freely assignable controller slots
- Reverb, Pitch, Pan, Glide and Master
- Poly, Mono and Retrig
- 3 skins
install VC c++ redistributable 2015 and 2017
will be nice, that somebody make soundbanks

Hi,
first of all, thanks! Looks simple but capable.
How can I fine tune the oscillators? It is hell to try to enter 0.0004 deviation with the mouse. Pity that one cannot route the LFOs to the resonance paramaters.

I could add some fine knobs and route the LFOs to resonance also....if i have space in the GUI!
But this depends of Bam ... i like the way it is

I haven't been able to demo this yet, but ...
...are the knobs linear (up-down) or rotary?
I'm not sure if this still works with versions of SE after 1.1, but if they are rotary you may to be able to get very fine control with the mouse by dragging radially before adjusting:
Holding down [Ctrl] will make it even more precise.
Worth a try?
If they are linear, try editing the 'knob###.txt' files in the folder below the .dll and change 'mouse_response vert' to 'mouse_response rotary'.
And, of course: Thank You @beatassist.eu - welcome to Music-Society!

@bluesmoke: thanks, good idea! I'll give it a try.
@beatassist.eu: Welcome to the forum! I have not had so much time to play Doremi, so perhaps I have overlooked something, but here are my first thoughts:
- Key Velocity would be nice
- LFO amount would be nice
- LFO also in Hz, not only in beats would be nice
- LFO to resonance would be nice
- separate knobs for cooarse and fine tuning would be nice
Thank you very much in advance!

knobs are vertical...i believe is better than rotary...you just have to use the mouse up/down

Immer diese Sonderwünsche
Habe übrigens 2 Sounds für den Synth gemacht, bin nur nicht besonders gut darin, werde sie heute Abend hochladen, vielleicht gibt es dann auch mehr
Always these special requests
By the way, I made 2 sounds for the synth, I'm just not very good at it, I'll upload them tonight, maybe there will be more

Hi Bam...i cannot contact you in facebook nor in private message through the forum..

Message:
Hi,
I wanted to write a news about your brand new Doremi-synth and I want you to ask if I get a permission to use it for the magazine DVD for the German print music magazine KEYS.
Actually it looks like it would be exclusively at Music Society https://music-society.de/showthread.php?tid=7054
but we want to use it if for the DVD.

I'm jealous - they never wanted to put YAX15P on their DVD!
It's up to Bam, of course - but if the news article mentions that you built Doremi for Music Society, I think it would be a great advertisement for the forum.
Whatever you and Bam agree to do - Thank you for your generous support in making the synth available on this site.

Attached are the Windows versions with the .txt files edited as suggested.
Testing here on Win10 in VSTHost x64 & x32, and in Mixbus 6:
the x32 plugin knobs are rotary, but [Ctrl] has no effect;
the x64 VST2 knobs work as described in the initial post;
the VST3 knobs don't work at all ...
I have no idea why I'm getting different results with each format, or what will happen in other hosts - but if anyone finds a combination that works for them, the ultra-fine control is well worth having.
