For the moment, I'll have to spare you the novella I was going to post a couple of days back.
(Bam's reference to Joyce - a.k.a. my once-beloved PCW - is worth a chapter to itself!)
But 'snafu' pretty well sums things up - and 'my Jerry-built computer is on the Fritz' probably translates even less politely.
So I've been copying files from my crappy old dual-core Vista machine to the even older and crappier single-core XP one, so that when (not 'if' - I've been here before) the hard-drive crashes I won't lose anything too important.
In the meantime, @ 2lazy ...
The SE 1.1 FAQs page seems to imply that it will import 1.0 files without a problem:
Quote:SynthEdit 1.1 draws GUI pins on the opposite side to SE 1.0
... Just to clarify: the pins still behave the same. They are only drawn 'flipped' left-to-right. This affects only new projects, your older projects will display the same as in SynthEdit version 1.0.
You can switch back from the File-Properties screen.
... File->Properties->Reverse GUI pins. - draws GUI pins and wires same as SE 1.0
There's even a 'launcher' utility for running multiple versions on the same computer - though I've had 1.1 and an early beta (0.6 - from a cover disc) on my machine(s) without it and not had any issues.
If I'm wrong - or if you simply don't want SE1.1 on your system - I'll be more than happy to try and compile any of your projects: they're far too good to let anything as simple as a spare processor put off potential users who just might find they're exactly what they've been looking for.
(I won't even steal any of your 'trade secrets' - at least, not for a while: I'm far too easily distracted by such temptations, and have a few projects of my own that demand my full attention at the moment.)
If you do want to send me some project files, it would help if you include any 3rd party modules used - I have all the DH and CK ones, but other than those it's only the DD one that I recognise in the LAP folder (though I daresay it wouldn't take me too long to find most of them on the web).
@ Bam
This thread displays on the portal without the download or 'read more' links, and shows just 26 views and no replies ... I think your demo broke it!
(I'll save my own comments until I've had chance to hear it.)

@ bluesmoke, we work on a new interface for the forum.
The portal currently has several minor and major bugs, but is not the most important priority at the moment.
Otherwise write to support@music-society.de and the technology will take care of it as soon as it finds time.
The advantage of the new interface is that you can use the forum without restrictions via mobile devices.
At the moment, about 30% of it is finished. Unfortunately, I can't help because I have no idea how to program something like this.
And our technical admin has a lot of work in his job.
So we must have patience
