Based on the Yamaha® CS-15 mono synth produced between 1978 and 1982, with optional oscillator and EG modes taken from other models in the CS series, plus additional performance-oriented features.

Includes 30 presets based on patch-sheets in the user manuals, which can be downloaded from the Yamaha website,  archive.org or many other places.

Note: There are no built-in FX - please add a little reverb when auditioning.

Important: Protect your ears and monitors! This synth can get very loud very quickly, especially when engaging the extended features. While creating or tweaking patches please ensure that Output Clipping is turned on.

The main differences between this plugin and the original hardware are shown in the picture below.
Additionally there is one hidden parameter, which can be accessed via your DAW: called 'VIB Lin-Exp', it enables VCO modulation by the LFO (vibrato) to be switched from the characteristic CS-style Linear FM to the more familiar Exponential FM (or 'pitch modulation').
Also: Pitch and Glide controls can be reset by double-clicking.

Danke für das Demo, Bam - es war eine echte Überraschung: Ich weiß, dass alte Hippies nie schlafen, aber wie hast du die Zeit gefunden, es zu schaffen? Sie haben das Plugin noch nicht lange genug!

Es hat mir jedoch eine seltsame und peinliche Sache klar gemacht: Ich habe diesen Synth noch nie gespielt!
In den letzten Monaten habe ich Funktionen hinzugefügt, getestet und vor allem das komplette Durcheinander, das ich bei der Implementierung gemacht hatte, behoben - als ich mich also das letzte Mal hingesetzt habe, um damit Musik zu machen, war es immer noch ein CS-10!
Offensichtlich habe ich es nicht zu sehr verdorben; ich werde ein paar Stunden damit verbringen, zu sehen, ob ich es tatsächlich verbessert habe.

Eines der Dinge, die ich an diesem Forum wirklich mag, ist die Tatsache, dass man'32-bit only' oder sogar'Synthedit' in großen Buchstaben an die Spitze eines Threads schreiben kann und keinen Strom von Missbrauch bekommt (zumindest noch nicht).

Einige Mitglieder haben sogar das Plugin heruntergeladen! Es sei denn, das ist nur Bam, der versucht, es so aussehen zu lassen, als ob es jemanden interessiert.

Wie viele der anderen Synths, die mir anvertraut wurden, um mich für eine mögliche Veröffentlichung anzupassen, enthält Yax 15P einige Module von Drittanbietern (von Chris Kerry, Dave Haupt, Daz Disley und TimeDomain), von denen die meisten nur 32-Bit sind (und wahrscheinlich auch bleiben werden).
Obwohl wir in der Lage sein könnten, in Zukunft 64-Bit-Versionen einiger unserer Plugins zu entwickeln (die aktuelle Version von SE scheint ziemlich stabil zu sein), wird Blue Smoke Audio weiterhin 32-Bit und VST2 unterstützen, solange sie noch verwendet werden.

Thanks for the demo, Bam - it was a real surprise: I know old hippies never sleep, but how did you find the time to make it? - you haven't had the plugin long enough!

It made me realise one strange and embarrassing thing, though: I've never actually played this synth!
For the past couple of months I've been adding features, testing them and, most of all, fixing the complete mess I'd made of implementing them - so the last time I sat down to make any music with it, it was still a CS-10!
Evidently I haven't spoilt it too much; I'll go spend a couple of hours seeing if I actually improved it any.

One of the things I really like about this forum is the fact that you can write '32-bit only' or even 'Synthedit' in big letters at the top of a thread and not get a torrent of abuse (at least, not yet).

Some members have even downloaded the plugin! (Unless that's just Bam trying to make it look as though anyone is interested.)

Like many of the other synths that have been entrusted to me to adapt for possible release, Yax 15P contains some third-party modules (by Chris Kerry, Dave Haupt, Daz Disley and TimeDomain), most of which are (and are likely to remain) 32-bit only.
Although we may be able to develop 64-bit versions of some of our plugins in the future (the current version of SE seems pretty stable), Blue Smoke Audio will continue to support 32-bit and VST2 for as long as anyone still uses them.

I would also like to thank @Mira-Katharina, for reminding me of just how good a Synthedit synth can sound - inspiring me to get on and finish some of the projects cluttering-up my hard drive.

Oh ... and I also meant to warn users about what happens if they turn YAX-15P's Trigger Mode to 'Off'.
