Mal als Update:

Es gibt für die Deepmnd-Serie einen enormen Preisverfall, das Desktop Modell liegt nun neu bei 599 Euro, Tasten-Version 699 Euro. Und zwar die 12er Versionen... nicht das o. a. Modell !!!
Für das Geld aus meiner Sicht ein No-Brainer Angebot...

Für das "Spielzeug" muss natürlich Budget vorhanden sein, ganz klar.. Aber so wie ich das sehe liegen die Behringer Synthesizer unheimlich weit unter dem Einführungspreis. Wer mit denen was anfangen kann, klingen ansich auch gut, sollte sich das zumindest mal näher anschauen,

Nahja, jeder sein Ding. Ich haibe gespart bis ich den Ob-6 kaufen konnte und seit ich den habe, habe ich niemals das gefühl gehabt das ich noch was anderes dazu brauche im Studio, aber das Budget muss es natürlich zulassen, ich habe 2 und halb Jahre warten müssen, auch weil ich in der zwischenzeit doch mal was kleineres gekauft habe.

Ist jetzt etwas offtopic, aber ich hatte auch kurz überlegt mir zu diesem Preis den DM12 als Desktop Gerät zu ordnern, habe aber davon Abstand genommen. Nicht wegen Behringer, sondern weil ich seit einiger Zeit auch eher zu Geräten tendiere, die weniger Menü-Tiefe besitzen bzw. möglichst wenige von diesen Gesellen am Start zu haben. Dave Smith Geräte sind bei mir auch eine feste Größe. Ob sich die Preisunterschiede in beiden Ausprägungen (Behringer spottbillig, DSI recht teuer) immer realistisch begründen lassen weiß ich nicht. Allerdings kann Behringer bestimmte Produkte auch quer-subventionieren, das kann eine Kleinfirma halt nicht.

Auch wenn es nun schräg klingt, ich finde die aktuellen ca. 2600 Euro für den OB6 angemessen. Das ist ein ganz tolles Gerät, was bei guter Pflege locker 30 Jahre hält und durch die Struktur zu musikalischen Ergebnissen führt. Wenn man so lange auf einen Synth hinspart will man den auch. Ich selbst habe die Erfahrung mit dem Prophet 12 gemacht. Auch eine lange Zeit drauf hingespart und noch länger im Vorfeld überlegt, ob ich den will/brauche/er im Workflow passt etc.... Ergebnis - Volltreffer. Das ist nachhaltig gesehen der beste Weg sich Instrumente zuzulegen. Spontan führt meistens in den Wieder-Verkauf...

On the other hand, my friend bought a Deepmind 6 keyboard version for 375 EUR some weeks ago. Used but looked brand new and had some waranty left.

I really liked the look and sound of the Deepmind when it came out and I was thinking of getting one..but then I started reading accounts of it being buggy and the less than stellar support from Behringer. It seems it keep freezing and there were apparently issues with it sending phantom midi signals according to some people.

I don't know how true these stories were, but they certainly put me off buying one..but I still might get one, if the above mentioned bugs were sorted out.

Don't own one, but maybe you should take a look at gearslutz (crazy hardware fanatics, a lot of discussions... some trolls ....).

To be honest, if you like the sound I think it's a good deal, nothing wrong with it and many synthesizers have some missing features or bugs. One the other side, for that money I would find the new Korg Minilogue XD much more interesting (of course, that's my personal taste).
