Back in early 2000, VST synths didn't come much better than this - and certainly not for free!
Along with the more fully-featured (payware) GakStoar Delta, this was the first release from LinPlug - later updated as the much-loved Alpha and FreeAlpha synths and sharing many of the innovative features that have since become standard on plugin instruments.

LinPlug recently announced that they have ceased development of software instruments.
However, at the time of writing, their current line of instruments are still available to license - at hugely discounted prices.
The company's commitment to quality and innovation hasn't flagged over the years, and their plugins really are unlike anything else on the market.
So if you can live with the fact that they may never be updated, now is a really good time to check them out.
