I've been having a great time playing around with this..honestly a great sounding softsynth..and one of the best I've ever come across that gives you that "Vangelis" sound "out of the box"..thanks in no small way to the beautiful presets that come with it.
One small thing that I'm finding bugs me..it's the level / gain / volume..even when you draw the sliders all the way down,. the sound is still very loud and can be too loud with some of the presets. It would be really great if this could be looked into and addressed at some point in a future update, if one is ever planned.
Thanks again for making this a free offering..most kind indeed.

I often find that Kujashi patches are a little 'hot' for my ham-fisted style of playing - depending on the keyboard / velocity curve I'm using.
It's usually just a matter of tweaking the final output level.
The 'final' levels (before the mono reverb mix) on this synth do seem a little different, though - they need taking quite a long way down on some patches.
Are they linear?
I suspect the faders would be set about right if they were exponential.
Perhaps they were changed (accidentally?) after the presets were delivered?
Just guessing, of course.
But I've not detected any clipping before the output stage.
And assigning a controller to volume is a negligible hassle considering the quality and downright playability of these sounds.
Top, top work all round - Thank you both!

Yeah..hope my comments didn't come across as being unduly negative..they were intended to be more of a suggestion on how to improve the synth, than any sort of criticism.
Basically, I noticed that even with the end level sliders pulled practically all the way down, the synth still plays really "hot" on all presets..regardless of how hard or soft I play..compared to all the other synths I currently own. That said, it's still only a minor issue for me, as the quality and selection of sounds that it gives me are outstanding, given my "sound" is a pale version of Vangelis'.

Apologies in advance for the 'Off Topic' ...
(I really don't want to derail this thread - after 3 nights (around 10 hours) playing with this thing, I honestly can't see Arminator being beaten as my 'Synth of the Year 2017', free or commercial.)
... but:

Are you familiar with Rick Jelliffe's CS-80R?
More a 'super-60' than an '80, it was released around the same time as Arturia's '80V, for a suggested 10% of the price (it was donationware) - and pretty much blew it out of the water. It was my 'go-to' for all things CS until Kalensky released the CS Edition of his KX-PolyMod. (Arminator now looks like replacing MemoryMoon's wonderful ME-80 as my preferred '80 clone.)
Don't be fooled by the factory bank, though - it's mainly based on the presets from the hardware, which Jelliffe himself describes as 'thin'.
Instead, load up the Kujashi banks:
Armins CS80R Banks.zip (Size: 13.65 KB / Downloads: 13)
Be warned - some of these patches may be a little 'hot'.
But they sound as Greek as a trillion-euro overdraft.
Considering his banks for this and other CS-alikes - including TN-5, Omaha, and the original Hahaha CS33 - could Kujaschi have a more fitting tribute than Krakli's Arminator?

Thanks very much for taking the time to let me know about both the CS80R and the banks, too..I really do appreciate you pointing me in the direction of both the synth and the banks.
It's funny how you can spend so long looking for good sounding synths and banks that replicate (excuse the slight reference to Blade Runner there.. it was totally coincidental ) the distinctive sound of Vangelis..and then in a matter of days you find two of the best you've ever had the pleasure to play with..simply magic!

Thank you, Bam.
I notice the .zip contains a couple dozen patches by Ingo Weidner - though as far as I can tell, no additional patches by you-know-who (just the 'factory bank').
From a first look (I've not had chance to play it yet), the only change I can see is that the 'power' switch has been replaced by a (continuous) 'level' control - most welcome!
I'm sure there are other changes, too (a 'point five' upgrade is quite a leap!) - anyone know what they are? (Unfortunately I'm not going to get chance to spend any time with it for a while ...)
Thanks to all involved!

sorry, there aren´t any patches by Ingo Weidner, but Ian Webster himself....
He made some contributions, cos my own work is lately and will be release in one or two weeks....
Just a short statement to Arminator and the "whole thing":
"The Arminator" is a loose emulation of the CS80.....it lacks the master filter, the "bend"-function, the Chorus/Tremolo section and the Ringmodulator
isn´t going too deep and some other little things....
The structure is - by the way - not the same and completely different as on the ARTURIA CS80v and the ME80 of Gunnar.
So you CAN´T transfer any sound by the knobs/sliders from these synths or the original himself.....
You have to do it by ear or fiddle around.....
The comparing is owed by the fact, that I´ve made all these patches remind to VANGELIS (which is my musical model).
Unfortunately "The Arminator v1.5" isn´t come out with my new second bank.....cos of construction work in our street, we are loss of
internet connection since the last week (can´t upload anything) and last week we had the flood in our area (and in our basement too).
So, there is a secret surprise, cos I´m working on a 3rd bank for release, I´ve re-tuned all the patches from the 1st (factory) bank
(some volume-issues too) and made a "default" bank for everyone, who wants to make his own patches.....
So there will be a big package:
384 sounds in Vangelisque style and a default bank.
I re-patched ALL sounds ever created from Vangelis in all of his works (all CD´s/LP´s I own - I have all), made with the CS80, by ear
and saved in these banks - so it will be the only one, completely, in sound and realism on the net...and the best....: FOR FREE!
Watch the space at the "KRAKLI page"!
Next thing:
There are many more soundbanks in the pipeline:
The soundbanks for all synths of GYL-Synths, released after his "SATURN", are in the work (5 full soundbanks),
There are also soundbanks for the SX-240 of Vangelis Spanakakis (original KAWAI SX-240 factorybank (heard like on synthmania.com) and own creations),
first sounds for a full bank of a BUCHLA emulation by K Brown (some others will follow) and some more....
(for the new FB3100 & Stigma by Full Bucket (very good emulations), some loose patches for the Polyakov (found in this forum)...and some more...
But - all this takes time - I´m either a robot nor a machine...I have my day-work, my girl-friend and son and other activities....
I can only work at the evening...it is summer....I also work on my musical works...and sometimes I´m running out of steam....
But somehow next time.....so please, watch this space.... :-)

Thanks, Armin, for everything..and although you may not be neither robot nor machine, you're one very talented person, whose work is greatly appreciated, trust me. Very much looking forward to the release of your forthcoming banks in your own time. 1

Do you get errors too for the new patches from Ian Webster? Those appear in every patch for me.

Yes, I'm getting those, too..though I can't personally say if it makes any difference to the over-all sound..not really sure what to make of it, to be honest.

I contacted him and a wrong 1.5 version was released at first. That one must have landed here. I will upload the correct one in the first post.

Oooops - I should have guessed!
(Ingo should be flattered - some of these patches are very good indeed.)

I've been trying to make the time to demo these synths properly (there's always so much on this site to distract me!) - this will be the perfect 'excuse' to do so: they look like they could become some of my real favourites.

I love this synth - it deserves to be much more widely known.
Has it ever been officially released?
There was a link for it on another website, apparently with the developer's approval, but I can't see it on his own site.
Would he object to your hosting it here?

I know one developer who is going to feel seriously honoured!
(It might even spur him to get on and update one of the other synths he's promised me!)
Your talent and generosity continue to astound.
Thank you.
