KX77FREE releases 64-bit versions (Beta: VST3 & VST2)



KX77FREE has announced 64-bit beta releases of its free Windows plug-ins. The x64 zip files replace the x86 setups (*.exe) in the download table.
These plug-ins are sufficiently stable to be used as they are but they are not finalized. They have been tested in Cubase, FL, Reaper, Studio One and Live.

Is anyone actually running these on a 64-bit system?

I'm still on 32-bit, and will continue to run a 32-bit DAW even when I eventually have to upgrade the hardware.
The KX-SYNTH-X16 and KX-POLYM-CSE are the only two softsynths I've used on any recording for almost 3 years, and in my opinion are the best-sounding virtual instruments currently available at any price.
I've always been surprised that they don't get talked about more, but I'm absolutely amazed - shocked, even - at just how little response there has been to M. Kalensky's plea for help with the 64-bit beta-testing.

He's not asking for much: just try them - and let him know whether you've had any issues (or not!) and what your set-up is (OS, DAW, audio/graphics cards etc.).

The developer himself is one of the very few actually contributing to the beta-testing of the 64-bit Synthedit application - including the C++ SDK (almost all the modules in his plugins are custom-coded).
Members of this forum - above all others - are only too aware of the incredible impact Synthedit has had on computer music and VST development and innovation.
Simply, it puts the creation of electronic musical instruments where it should be - in the hands of musicians.
If we are to see a new 'golden age' of Synthedit synths and effects, it will be in no small part due to the efforts of Xavier Kalensky.
Is spending a little time playing around with some of the best synths on the planet really to much to ask by way of saying 'thank you'?
