Gründete King Crimson und Emerson, Lake and Palmer Greg Lake ist tot  Hauptsächlich als Bassist, aber auch mit Gesang und Gitarre prägte Greg Lake den Progressive Rock der Siebzigerjahre. Nun ist der Musiker im Alter von 69 Jahren gestorben.

Those early King Crimson albums, especially, are etched into the core of my very being.

With Boulez and Peter Maxwell Davies passing at the start of the year, and Tony Conrad, Don Buchla and Pauline Oliveros all dying within such a short space of time at the end, 2016 has rent a huge hole in that pantheon of immortals who had such a profound influence on me during my adolescence - and ever since.

Rest in Peace, Greg; you're in good company.
