Thats like the hardest question in the world. My plug-ins at times are my inspiration, so i love them all and they all have there place. So i'll answer like this, My custom default DAW template opens with FxPansions Geist & TS 808 1.1, I consider those a necessity. Geist, self explanatory its just so great!!! TS 808 1.1 is my ideal, go to Roland 808 replica, It's damn near perfect, very easy & straight forward to use with outstanding quality. I generally have elements from 808 or straight full 808 drums as foundation for most of all my songs. Like OutKast said in the song I Like the way you move"I know ya'll that 8-0-8/ When you hear that B-A-S-S play!!"LOL
. As far as softsynths, notes:I can't say favorites I can just say which ones I go to it seems more often than others, which this could have a lot to do with the genre of song I'm making or because the programming is very fun on these plugins as well, anyway & without listing a million plugins, i'd say;( the order of the plugins has nothing to do with their placement of favoritism, I just listed as they came to my mind. 1.)Cypher from Expansion's D-CAM Synth Squad- it's very easy and too much fun to use , I love the sound of the oscillators, it's very easy to program the modulations and I love the filters 2.) All of Korg Legacey collection, I swear it never ceases to amaze me the quality of the sound on these plugins they are so rich and full that they will never ever get old to me. 3.) image-line's Sytrus. this was the first plugin I ever purchased as well as the first addition to FL Studio I had purchased when it had first released, as well as was my introduction to programming FM synthesis. I love love love the sound of this plugin, its just absolutely wonderful, it took me a minute to figure out how to program but once I did I could put together presets per project in no time at all. Still to this day a very valuable tool in my collection.4.) Image-Line’s Harmor- I love this plugin it is great. One of the most powerful I know. The sound that can be produced from it is absolutely amazing. And these next ones I'm just going to list. They each have key little details that make these synths very special to me; Archetype Instrument's Arc5, Tubeohm's AntiTranspirant, Beat Twist, Bleep, Plogue Chip sounds, Tone 2's Firebird, Third Harmonic Studio's EXD-80 drum synthesizer, Xenobios Kruudster, 2 plugins from HyperSynth which are SIDizer & Oresus, Z3TA +2 and Angular Momentum... I've just recently got back into freeware and donationware. I went through a time period where I refused to try them out. The quality of the freeware plugins has just gotten so insanely good I find myself addicted to these new generation of freeware plugins. So big thanks to all the programmers out there for your time and hard work. You keep my music alive. After i get a chance to try out these new plugins I've recently aquired over the last month then i will come back and post my favorites of those, which are all free and donationware!! Happy Music making
